Maude Almida Hoheb Dies

Maude Almida Hoheb, better known as "Mudda Hodge or "Maudie," died on Sept. 27.
She is survived by her son, Verne “Tony” Hodge Jr.; daughters: Bridget “Midge” Hodge and Teresa “Terry” Hodge; sisters: Etla Hoheb Gaskin and Altagracia Hoheb; brothers: George Hoheb and Luciano “Babbi” Warrell; brother –in-law, Alfredo Gaskin; daughter-in-law: Edotcia “Dotisie” Thomas; aunts: Freda Martinez, Olive Testamark and Una Thompson; grandchildren: Mia and Aliya Felix, Aneisha “Tiny” Heywood, Chanae, Nery, Terriah and Mariah Hodge; and great-grandchildren: Shawn Dowe, Yadiel and Yaliya Rogers-Felix and A’deja Marshall.
She is also survived by former husband, Verne A. Hodge; nieces: Vernice Cid, Galene Francis, Wendy Coram, Pamela, Kim, Annette and Oneike Hoheb, Kamille Sweeney-Haynes, Lucianna and Louella Warrell, Roneike and Venus Hoheb; nephews: Galen Ray Francis, Rodmey “Blemp” McBride, Derrick, Glenn, Richard, Leroy, Rodmey “Sporty,” Ronnie, Virgil, and Frankie Hoheb, Lezcano “Zano,” Warrell, Luciano and “Marsha” Warrell Jr.; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and close friends too numerous to mention.
Rest assured that we, the immediate family, hold you all near and dear to our hearts during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. and a service will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in the Eastern Cemetery.
Funeral arrangement is done by Turnbull’s Funeral Home.
