Pistarckle Theater Postpones Wine Tasting Fundraiser Due to Storm

Pistarckle Theater kicks off its 21st season celebration with its third annual wine tasting fundraiser on the Wings of an Angel. Ever since the Medici, the arts have had to rely on support from benefactors. In the theater we call them angels, and Pistarckle Theater’s angel has pledged $15,000 as a matching grant. So every dollar the public gives counts as two.

Once again, Frank Machover of Frank Leonard’s Wines has set sail for France and its renowned vineyards to personally select the finest small vineyard wines available and is offering them for sale at Pistarckle’s wine tasting to be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 10 in Tillet Garden.

This year Machover is offering some of the better wines in his inventory as well as the affordably priced favorites. Prices will range from $10-$30 a bottle. This event will include a slide show of his travels with photos and personalized commentary of the actual vineyards and vintners that make the wines being sampled. In addition to a wide selection of wines that will be sampled a sumptuous selection of hors d’oeuvres, canapés and tapas will be served.
Don’t forget the deals to be had at the silent auction where deals can be had at a fraction of their value, and every dollar spent counts as two towards Pistarckle’s $15,000 matching grant.
For tickets, call 775-7877 or purchase online at www.pistarckletheater.vi or e-mail info@pistarckletheater.vi.
