Generation Now! Inc., in conjunction with The Boys and Girls Club of St. Croix, will host a MAD (Molding Adolescent Development) Skills Mentoring Program. The mentoring initiative will take place during a six-week life skills training program to be held from 9 a.m. to noon, July 16 through Aug. 20, at the Boys and Girls Club of St. Croix in Frederiksted on Saturdays.
Generation Now! Inc. introduced the Mentoring Program five years ago and has mentored approximated 200 youths between the ages of 9 and 17 since its inception. The program has received rave reviews from parents, former participants and the community.
The program provides a curriculum that includes Gang Violence in the Virgin Islands, Going Green in the V.I., Health and Wellness, V.I. Culture and Pride, and Career Exploration. Enrollment is open to youths between the ages of 12 and 14. Participants will be provided with the necessary materials as well as refreshments. This program will prove to be a memorable lifetime experience.
Generation Now! Inc. is a group of concerned, professional young Virgin Islanders who are focused on making a difference in this community. The group works to educate and inform the populace on the issues that affect the community.
