Novelle E. Francis Sr., also known as “Baby Boy,” “Check” or “Pops,” of Estate Mon Bijou died on Friday, June 17, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 71 years old.
He is survived by daughters: Tracey "Connie" Francis-Morrissey and Joycelyn Francis; sons: Novelle E. Francis Jr., Donald "Buddah" Francis and Lucien "Butchie" Peterson; grandchildren: Latoya Lawrence, Michelle Bowen, Adrian, Jaheem Jahlise, Ashlie, Jahmai, Jay, Kwameka, Jahzre, Novelle III and Ari’ Yana Francis, Kadesha Davis, Jeffrey and Rian Morrissey, Daren, Alden, Mariska and Shariska Petersen, Kareem, Tanya and Tisha Bailey; great-grandchildren: D’ Ajah and Nayshaun Edwards, Ja’ Nae Francis and Jah’mya Francis; daughter-in-law, Marta I. Francis; sisters: Inez Richards, Catherine "Trixie" Orr and Goldine King; and brothers: Claxton "Carty" Mc Coy, Clifford Mc Coy, Wilbert Mc Coy, Stanley "Pee-Wee" Francis and Patrick "Pat" Francis.
He is also survived by nieces: Kathy Francis, Kera Francis, Chantal Francis, Akeema Francis, Teashika Francis, Tanya Orr, Thereasea Francis, Cassandra Gauldon, Judith Mc Coy, Elena Andrews, Laura Mc Coy, Velma Mc Coy, Hazelyn Richards, Brenda Peters-Jarvis, Louise Hodge, Melissa Joseph and Tracey Peters; nephews: Johbi Francis, Gary Francis, Gregory Francis, Patrick Francis, Roy Orr Jr., Bobby Orr, Wilfred Richards Jr., Ashton Mc Coy, Thomas Peters Jr., Henrickey Mc Coy, Gary Mc Coy, Max Mc Coy and Lester Mc Coy; and aunt, Jennie Zachariah.
Other survivors include sisters-in-law: Sarah Warren Mc Coy, Sarah Mc Coy and Vassel Mc Coy; brothers-in-law: Roy Orr Sr., Alexis King and Wilfred Richards; special friends: John Desouza and family, Louise Williams and family, Jennie Richards, Lauralee Riley, Megeon Merchant, Yvonne George, Mr. and Mrs. Melbourne Adams, Basil Richards, Althea Rhodes, Lynette Thomas, Renise Johnson, Andrew Floyd, Arnold Gordon, Ruby Urgent, Arlene Peterson, the Messer family, Tracy Davis, Marion Rivera and family, and the VIPD family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, Estate Plessent. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
