Oliver Wendell Canton of Sally’s Fancy died on Friday, April 8, at his residence. He was 75 years old.
He is survived by his spouse: Iris Acoy-Canton; daughters: Sharon and Brenda Canton, Lurene Canton-Jarvis and Dianne Canton-Reed; son: Delroy Canton; grandchildren: Adrian Ferris, Gregory Jackson, Danielle, Nicole, Daniel and Dalina Canton, Shevonne Rios, Gary Jarvis, Joel Mohan, Dominique and Mya Reed; great-grandchildren: Kristion and Kaiden Ferris; daughter-in-law: Marilyn Canton; sons-in-law: Gary Jarvis and Llewelyn Reed; sisters: Agneta Inez Sewer and Roselyn Lang; brothers: Fidelis Jr., Fremont, Mario and Eric Canton; special friends: Minard Jones, Norman Nielsen, Panchoo and Evans Heyliger; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at the Southgate Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
