Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes. If you know something, say something. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what law enforcement needs to solve these cases.

St. Croix: Incidents of domestic violence are increasing in our territory, and too often lives are being torn apart or lost. Whether it’s physical or mental abuse, it must stop. If you know of anyone in a relationship where harm is being done, but it has not been reported to law enforcement or any agency, let us know. Your call could save their life.

St. John: Between 9 p.m. Monday Feb. 21, and 9 a.m. the next day, two motorcycles were stolen. A 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000 with license number M4500 was stolen from 16-15 Estate Adrian. It is black, bronze, and silver. A 2001 Suzuki GSX-R with license number M4491 was stolen from 13U Bellevue Village. It is white, silver, and blue with a red “R” on the front. The minimum reward for an arrest is $525 plus 10% of the value of property recovered. The maximum reward is $2,500.

St. Thomas: On Monday Jan. 17 at about 9:30 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Garden Street. Upon arrival, police found the lifeless body of Keith Andrews lying in the street. At this time, police have no meaningful leads. Tell us what you know so law enforcement can identify and arrest his killers. The minimum reward for the arrest of a murder suspect is $1,500.

You can submit tips on these or any other crimes at www.CrimeStoppersUSVI.org or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Your tips are completely anonymous, and the stateside operators are multi-lingual. If your tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property, illegal drugs, or weapons, you will receive a cash reward to be paid according to your instructions.

So far in 2011, you have submitted almost twice as many tips per week than in 2009 and 2010. Thank you for helping to make a difference in our territory.
