Two St. Thomas residents were arrested recently and charged with assault in separate incidents, according to the U.S.V.I. Police Department.
• At approximately 4:28 a.m. Monday police arrested Anthony Minto, 46, who lives in Paul M. Pearson Gardens. He was charged with third-degree assault for allegedly hitting a female on her forehead with a baton. The incident occurred on Kronprinsens Gade.
Bail for Minto was set at $25,000.
• John T. Vogel, 47, a resident of Sapphire Village, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. Sunday and charged with aggravated assault and battery/domestic violence for assaulting a female he is having a romantic relationship with.
Bail for Vogel was denied due to the domestic violence charge.
Both suspects were remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
