Students at the Charlotte Amalie High School recently received lessons on the electoral system which enlightened them about their civic responsibilities at an Election Forum sponsored by the Social Studies Department on Oct. 26. In preparation for this event, students were taught a unit on the electoral process and had the opportunity to listen to and interact with almost all the political aspirants including those vying for governor of the Virgin Islands, delegate to Congress, senator- at- large and St. Thomas-St. John District senators for the 29th Legislature. The students demonstrated much enthusiasm about their lessons in the political process and eagerly exercised their right to vote.
The results of the mock election held on Oct. 27 are attached.
