Frederiksted Health Care to Reach Out to Homeless, Farm Workers

The Frederiksted Health Care center will focus on special populations often left outside of the mainstream health care system next week, offering care for the homeless next Wednesday and focusing upon farm workers’ health Thursday.
“Providing superior health care to the uninsured and insured is the primary focus of Frederiksted Health Care,” said Masserae Webster, chief executive officer of the center.
“Health care is one of the most important components in your life. FHC is committed to raising the awareness of the needs that exist in our communities and the high costs of failure to provide primary care and preventive health,” she said.
FHC is holding the two aforementioned clinic days as part of National Health Center Week, next Sunday through Saturday.
Below is the full week’s list of events:
— Monday – Open House, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a ceremony at noon. The public is invited and refreshments will be served;
— Tuesday – Free HIV, Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure and Cholesterol testing, and presentations on HIV and cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
