The Friends of the Elaine I. Sprauve Library had an impressive turnout Wednesday night at their "Planning for College" seminar for high school students who live on St John. Almost 50 students and parents attended, with students from five schools represented. Chris Tear, director of college counseling at Antilles School inspired and motivated confidence in the students and parents who attended this first seminar.
Planning for College Seminars Help St. John Students Prepare for the Future
The next seminar will focus on St. John seniors -specifically the application process – at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, in the library. Seniors and their parents or guardians are urged to attend; other high school students and parents are warmly welcome.
Other seminars are being planned as well. If students or parents wish to be notified of upcoming high school student seminars sponsored by the Friends organization, they should send an e-mail address to stjohnlibraryfriends@gmail.com
