Luis Davis, a 21-year-old Estate Whim resident, was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault for allegedly attacking a 54-year-old woman with a tire pump and striking her with the vehicle he was driving as he attempted to flee the scene.
The assault took place Thursday in Estate Little La Grange, Frederiksted.
Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Croix arrested Davis at about 10:40 a.m. Tuesday after he was found hiding near a residence in Estate Whim.
Davis has been charged with first-degree assault.
