USVI Hotel & Tourism Association Introduces St. Thomas Spice Promotion

St. Thomas restaurateurs have joined together and created an appetizing promotion called St. Thomas Spice. From now through Dec. 15, participating restaurants will offer a special three-course menu (exclusive of tip and alcohol) for $39. Not only will patrons enjoy a delicious, value priced meal, but $3 of every purchase will be donated to the V.I. Culinary Team.

“This promotion is similar to a successful program in Florida,” said Lisa Hamilton, president of the Hotel & Tourism Association. “What is different about our offer is the donation to the Culinary Team. It’s a great opportunity for our visitors to experience some of the island’s finest restaurants.”
The restaurants participating thus far are Craig & Sally’s, Lobster Grille at Bolongo Bay Resort, Mafolie Restaurant, Mim’s Seaside Bistro, Randy’s Bistro, Sunset Grill at Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef, Virgilio’s and XO Bistro. At each restaurant diners will receive a special menu bearing the St. Thomas Spice logo to identify their participation in the promotion.
St. Thomas Spice is the initial fundraising effort for the V.I. Culinary Team. Since returning from their successful showing at the Taste of the Caribbean Competition, the team met to plan the promotional calendar for the upcoming year. It will concentrate on development workshops, signature promotions and receptions to increase community awareness. Chef Leslie’s sea bass recipe is the first signature dish promotion currently being featured at Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef.
