LeRoy Mitchell Sr., also known as “Mitch,” of Judith’s Fancy died on Aug. 30. She was 71 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Florence Eileen Mitchell; daughters: Lisa Mitchell-Harris and Desiree Mitchell; sons: Leroy E. Mitchell Jr. and Lester E. Mitchell; grandchildren: Khalan, Keenan and Kendell Mitchell, Akil N. Harris Jr., Wakieria, Walter and Chassity Gray; daughter-in-law, Etta Lee Mitchell; son-in-law, Akil N. Harris Sr.; sisters: Joyce, Catherine, Cheryl and Joan Mitchell, Marva Alleyne, Marilyn Seymore, Cora Hall and Linda Lewis; and brothers: Michael, Garth, Rennie and Earl Mitchell. He is also survived by special friends: Mr. and Mrs. Renee Sagebien, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Merced, the Johnson Family, Mr. and Mrs. Clive Daniel, Gwendolyn Turner, Eustace Solomon, Rafael Pieters, Andre McBean, Mr. and Mrs. George Sumter, as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 11, at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Barren Spot. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
