Anson Watson Dies at 70

Friends and relatives, we announce the passing of Anson Watson, better known as Aaron, formerly of St. Kitts, West Indies. He died on June 26, at his home in Fortuna at the age of 70. He formerly lived at No. 32 Norre Gade. He retired from the Virgin Islands Dept. of Education and used to work at Renaissance Hotel.
He survived by his wife, Pearl Watson; sons: Derrick Liburd and Errol Watson Sr.; daughter, Audene Watson; grandsons: Kenneth Liburd and Errol Watson Jr.; granddaughter, Elyssa Watson; sisters: Priscilla Richardson and Isa Emmanuel; and brothers: Thomas Watson and Joseph Watson. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Elsie Thomas; daughter-in-law: Dawn Watson; nieces: Elvia Jones and Beverly Peets; nephew, Moses Emmanuel; and other relatives abroad.
A viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., on Wednesday, July 8, at the Memorial Moravian Church. The service will be immediately after the viewing at the church. Burial will be at the Eastern Moravian Cemetery. A repast will be held at Walkers by the Sea Restaurant located at Lindbergh’s Bay.
