Edgar Alphonso Phillips Dead at 76

Edgar Alphonso Phillip died on June 23, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 76 years old.
He is survived by his sisters: Florine Osborne, Rosemary Edwards, Eleanor Phillips, Rita Phillips-Jackson, Margaret Henry and Lorraine Phillips-Nibbs; brothers: Winston and Patrick Phillips; daughters: Yvonne Phillips, Donna Cisse, Denise Stedman, Valorie Lynch and Linda Phillips-Paul; daughter-in-law, Delores Phillips; sons-in-law: Mohammed Cisse, John Stedman, Eric Lynch, Leonard Francis Jr. and Hesketh Prentis; stepdaughter, Lindsay Finch; and stepson, Lawrence Encarnacion. He is also survived by grandsons: Nyere Francis Sr., Karreem Dowdye and Bhakti Solomon; granddaughters: Zakiyah, Prasada, Ashanti and Sriyah Solomon, Kula Francis-Hendrickson, Kenya Willocks, Sheryl Paul, Kaylah Prentis and Shantelle Gittens; ten great-grandchildren: uncle, Henry Schuster, 19 nieces; 14 nephews; special cousins; Magdalene, Charles, Yvonne, Luetta, Lloyd, and Elise McAlpin, Rosemarie and Joycelyn Schuster, Dwayne Howell; caretakers: Felicia Malone, Dutchelle Drummond; special friends: Pat Singh, Tony Alexander, Jenny Gardine, Eileen Hector, Lloyd Roberts and Veronica Blackwood; and many other family and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 2, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Christiansted. Interment will follow at the Christiansted Cemetery.
