16-Year-Old Girl Missing

June 10, 2009 — Police are asking citizens to be on the lookout for Shalena Prosper, a 16-year old girl who ran away from her foster home in Golden Rock, St. Croix, on the evening of Friday, June 5.
On June 5th Prosper received a late night call that was answered by her aunt, who is her foster parent. When Prosper was beckoned from her room the window was found opened and the screen removed. After several hours of waiting for Prosper’s return home, a police report was filed early the next morning,
Prosper has some history of disappearing for two or three hours at a time according to an alert issued by the Department of Human Services.
Prosper is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. She has a medium brown complexion, brown eyes and short black hair. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Prosper or has seen her is asked to notify Detective Claudette Sutton in the Juvenile Unit by calling 778-2211 extension 2048.
