ICMC Will Host Annual Student Hall of Hope Awards Ceremony

May 13, 2009 – International Capital & Management Company (ICMC) will host the fifth annual Student Hall of Hope "Celebrate Life" Awards Ceremony from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 28, at Emancipation Garden. The ceremony honors the artistic talent and creativity of students from the St. Thomas public elementary and junior high schools.
Steve Bonner, president and CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, will be the keynote speaker. The Alfred Lockhart and Leonard Dober Elementary School choirs will lead the audience in the national anthem and the Virgin Islands march, and the EBO Steel Owls will entertain. Twelve schools and approximately 100 students are expected to participate. Each school will receive a trophy, and all the participants will receive art supplies and a certificate.
"This year we've added arts and crafts, line dancing and creative skits to the program, as we continue to strive to engage and enlighten the students at this fun-filled event." said Karen Nelson-Hughes, Student Hall of Hope project manager.
For more information about the awards ceremony, contact Michelle Mardenborough at 777-1302.
