Brief: Earth Day Conference Coming Up Wednesday on St. Croix

April 20, 2009 — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and local government agencies are holding an Earth Day conference Wednesday in the Great Hall of the St. Croix Campus of the University of the Virgin Islands.
"This collaborative effort epitomizes the spirit that embodies Earth Day in the territory and nationwide," said EPA Caribbean Division Director Carl Soderberg, according to a news release from the agency.
The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. It is free of charge, but space is limited, so interested participants should pre-register at netionline.com. For more information, call Jim Casey at (340) 714-2333 or email him.
