Applications for CFVI 2009 Mini Grants Now Available

Feb. 12, 2009 – The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) has announced the launch of its 2009 Mini-Grant Program. This program, established 13 years ago, supports innovative programs that enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of children, youth and families in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Individuals, school groups, community organizations and non-profit groups are invited to apply for these mini grants, which range from $250 to $1,000. From the inception of the program to date, it has provided more than $330,010 for 542 projects to various community organizations and individuals, according to a press release from CFVI's President Dee Baecher-Brown.
This year CFVI will award up to $20,000 in grants to fund innovative proposals.
Completed applications for 2009 mini-grants must be postmarked or faxed by Wednesday, April 1. Applications are available on CFVI's Web site: www.cfvi.net or picked up at:
