Soccer Results for St. Croix Region

Jan. 20, 2009 – The league-leading Helenites mauled the third place Chelsea 5-1 in the late Sunday evening action at the Drive In. The Helenites' Alderman Lesmond scored twice to keep the scoring lead with 20 goals. The other goal scorers for the Helenites were Nathan Justin, Leslie Peter and Danny Michael, who scored one goal each. Livingston Percival scored the Chelsea consolation goal.
In the day's earlier game, the Skills defeated the Unique 2-0 to put a tight grip on second place. One more victory will give the Skills a lock on the second position and an appearance in their first ever Association Club Championship schedule for St. Croix on the weekend of Feb. 7 and 8. The Skills' Kenyatta Lebron scored both their goals.
Action will continue at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Educational Complex Grounds when the Skills face the Prankton, followed at 8 p.m. by the Rovers vs. Chelsea.
