St. Croix Region's Weekend Soccer Results Given

Oct. 14, 2008 – The tenth-time defending St. Croix Region champions, the Helenites, won their third game in a row when they defeated Chelsea 3-1 in Sunday's action at the Drive Inn. The Helenites have rebounded from their start of three consecutive defeats to bring themselves back into contention. In the earlier game, the league leading Skills maintained their perfect record by defeating Prankton 7-1. Goal scorers for Skills were Kenyatta Lebron, 3; Benny Labadie, 2; while Dwayne Thomas and Chad Walters scored 1 each. Anthony Suarez was the Prankton lone goal scorer.
On Saturday, the Rovers defeated the Unique 5-1. The Rovers' Carl Acosta scored a hat trick while J. Latiffia and Negus Neal each scored 1. The Unique's consolation goal was scored by Clint Harvey.

Rovers—-13 pts
Helenites –9 pts
Unique—–3 pts
Prankton—3 pts
