October Sunset Jazz presents the Jazzy Blues Band with baritone vocalist and keyboard player Jazzy at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17, at the Frederiksted Waterfront.
You can usually hear Jazzy as a one-man band, but for this event he brings along his friends to smooth out the rough edges. While he and his friends can throw down some mean R&B, blues and pop/rock, this is Sunset Jazz–and Jazzy is all about jazz for now.
Joining him on stage will be an outstanding group of musicians who have played with him for about three years: Yoshea Daniels is a St. Croix native who plays alto and soprano saxophones with the group Culture Vibe; Neil Callsen plays trumpet and frugal horn; and Afra Dailey plays drums.
The public is invited to enjoy the concert for free.
