Brief: Construction Shuts Down Military Post Exchange

Sept. 17, 2008 — The military post exchange (PX) on St. Thomas has closed because of ongoing construction, according to Brigadier General Renaldo Rivera, adjutant general of the V.I. National Guard.
The PX is located in Contant, across the street from Nisky Shopping Center in the building that also houses VITEMA's Emergency Operations Center.
"We are working diligently towards identifying a new location for the post-exchange facility," Rivera said, according to a news release from the National Guard.
