Pre-Labor Day Race Card Should Be a Good One

Aug. 16, 2008 — The horses will be off and running at the Randall “Doc” James racetrack on Sunday on a card billed as the Pre-Labor Day tune-up.
Taking a break from Sunday’s card is the new local sensation, Carse, who will be facing the best of the Virgin Islands on the Labor Day card. However, the feature race should still be a very competitive one.
Idol Worship (117) has been running well of late with back to back second place finishes and may be the early favorite. The Speedster, Crafty Smile (117) is a tough competitor and if let loose on the front, could be hard to catch. No on knows which Black Jack Bob (117) will show up on Sunday as he has been rather inconsistent of late, but if right, this field could be in a lot of trouble. The word is still out on new comer Green Sand (117) but he is supposed to be a good horse. Formerly Cat will be stepping up in class and could be facing a tall order here.
