Aug. 10, 2008 — A 71-year-old man was found dead early Sunday in a St. Thomas parking lot, according to a police statement.
A report was received by police at 7:28 a.m. about a man who seemed to be unresponsive, lying in a parking lot near the El Encanto Bar. The initial police report did not indicate if there were any visible signs of trauma.
Emergency medical personnel as well as the medical examiner were called to the scene, where the individual was declared dead.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
