Alert: Parking Restrictions Saturday for Rhymer Highway

May 28, 2008 — Drivers should be careful Saturday on Rhymer Highway around the Philadelphia Seventh-Day Adventist Church, which is scheduled to host its Adventurer/Eagle Beaver Congressoree.
Participants are allowed to park on the shoulder of the highway facing east. No parking on the public street will be allowed, according to a news release from the V.I. Police Department.
Motorists should exercise extreme caution when driving through the area between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday because of pedestrians crossing the highway. Traffic Investigation Bureau officers will make periodic inspections to verify that no vehicles are obstructing the normal flow of traffic.
