The Indie Spotlight CD is "One Tough Town" from veteran singer-songwriter David Olney, who has produced another fine CD with well-written songs.
We play new music from Eilen Jewell, Back Door Slam, Anoushka Shankar, Ray Davies and more.
We also play music from Sweet Honey in the Rock, Otis Clay, the Doors, Omar and the Howlers and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of blues great Sonny Boy Williamson I, Eric Clapton, Robert Nighthawk, Dave Hole, Don Edwards, Graeme Edge of the Moody Blues, Norah Jones and Tracy Chapman. We remember Doors producer Paul Rothschild on the anniversary of his death.
We include music from Deb Callahan, who is performing in local venues in the Virgin Islands, and from Joe Ely, who will be performing on St. Thomas on Jan. 21, 2009, as part of the 2008-2009 Arts Alive Season.
