UVI-SBDC to Teach Seminars on Writing Business Plans

Nov. 27, 2007 – The UVI Small Business Development Center (SBDC) presents two seminars: Writing an Effective Business Plan – Part I: The Narrative and Writing an Effective Business Plan – Part II : The Financials.
They are scheduled from 6-8 p.m., on two Wednesdays, Dec. 5, and 12, at the UVI-SBDC Training Facility on St. Thomas. The presenters are Leonor Dottin, state director, and Daryl Edwards, UVI-SBDC business counselor. Admission is $20 for each seminar at the door. Those who pre-register receive a $5 discount for each seminar. UVI students, staff, faculty, farmers and veterans of the U.S. military with proper I.D. will be admitted free; however, pre-registration is required.
It is recommended that business owners or potential business owners have a business plan. A business plan is a great guide for the day-to-day operations of any business; however, it is mandatory if you want/need to borrow money for your business.
To pre-register or for more information on these seminars and/or other SBDC services contact: UVI-SBDC, 8000 Nisky Center, Suite 720, St. Thomas, VI 00802; or call 776-3206 or fax 775-3756.
