Oct. 23, 2007 — Early dismissals over the next week will affect public schools in the St. Thomas-St. John district.
The dismissals will facilitate monthly faculty and staff meetings, according to District Superintendent Lisa Hassell-Forde. The following schools will dismiss students at 12:30 p.m. on the day indicated:
Wednesday: Leonard Dober Elementary — continuation of differentiated instruction professional development activities
Thursday: Ivanna Eudora Kean High School
Friday: Yvonne Milliner-Bowsky Elementary and Julius E. Sprauve School
October 31: Ulla Muller Elementary
Lunch will be provided to students before schools let out and bus transportation will be provided as usual. "Parents who routinely pick up their children are asked to make a concerted effort to be on time," the release said.
