Daveson Julio James Dies at 37

Oct. 9, 2007 – Daveson Julio James, also known as "DJ," died on Sept. 29, at his residence in Smithfield.
He is survived by his mother, Claudella James; father, Wilfred James; grandmother, Nacy Ann Barzey; daughters: Shantel James and Shakila Thomas; special companion, Naomi Cannonier; sisters: Nadine James, Valarie Mayhorn and Nathasha P. Julius; and brothers: Ivor, Elroy, Clyde and Jabari James. He is also survived by aunts: Gloria Gordon, Petranella Simon, Dorilyn Joseph, Eideen Smith, Victoria Simon, Hyacinth Byam and Chrisencia Barzey; uncles: Christopher Henry, Peter Dequintal, Williams, Elton Barzey and Trevor Barzey, Bernard Williams, and St. Cair, Donald and Joseph Byam. Other survivors include special friends: Brad Marshall, Malik Stridiron, Nicole Hughes, Rochester Lewis, Mirrlees Duggins and Delacey Thomas, as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 10-11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 12, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at the church.
Mourners attending the service are asked to wear festive colors please. Internment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
