Crafty Smile Heads a Strong Field Sunday

Oct. 5, 2007 — The horses will be off and running Sunday at the Randall "Doc" James racetrack and the one-mile feature race looks to be a very well-matched encounter.
Crafty Smile (117), the front-running speedster, will justifiably be the pre-race favorite. He has not only shown lots of speed, but also the staying power to be able to handle this field.
In his most recent outings, he has only been bested by the best in the Virgin Islands, the number one ranked Kentucky Kris and arguably the number two, Silver Horn. His biggest challenge on Sunday should come from the late running Gallego (115) and the overachieving little engine that could, Carson Secrets (115). Strong Passer (114) and Danzig Mon (112) will also be in the hunt and could very well surprise the top three.
