Deadline for V.I. Carnival 2008 Theme Is October 15

Sept. 27, 2007 – The V.I. Carnival Committee is now accepting ideas for the official theme for Carnival 2008. Entries should be short, catchy, meaningful phrases or sentences that clearly define the spirit and excitement of the Virgin Islands' largest cultural event.
There are four ways to submit entries: (1) Hand deliver entries to the Carnival Committee office located across from the Department of Finance on lower Main Street; (2) Mail entries to a P.O. Box 307947, St. Thomas, V.I. 00803; (3) Fax entries to 777-9199; or (4) E-mail entries to jouvert@viaccess.net. The deadline for submitting them is Oct. 15, 2007.
The individual who submits the winning entry will win a Carnival 2008 season pass to all events sponsored by the committee, and their theme will be used for all Carnival events and be posted with the winner's name in the Carnival Booklet.
