Toyota Wall2Wall Triathlon Is Set

Sept. 7, 2007 – The fall triathlon season on St. Croix will kick off on Sunday, Sept. 23, with the Toyota Wall2Wall Triathlon. The sprint distance race will be set at Cane Bay on the North Shore Road and will feature a .5-mile swim, 15-mile bike and 3-mile run. There will also be a youth race for athletes between 12-16, which will include a 400- meter swim, 5-mile bike and 1.5-mile swim.
The race has become on of the favorites of local triathletes, who enjoy the challenging and scenic course. It will start at the Spratnet Café at 7 a.m. Participants may register on the morning of the race, between 6-6:45 a.m., at the race site or pre-register at Stamina Sports, St. Croix's new bike shop, located at 4A Orange Grove, in the old Bingo Building.
