Brief: Flags at Half-Staff to Mark Death of Ohio Congressman

Sept. 6, 2007 — Gov. John deJongh, Jr. has ordered all flags be flown at half-staff until midnight Thursday to mark the passing of Rep. Paul Gillmor, R-Ohio. The order is in accordance with a proclamation by President George W. Bush.
Gillmor, 68, was found dead in his apartment in Arlington, Va. Thursday morning. Media reports indicated he appeared to have died of natural causes.
Gillmor was first elected to Congress in 1988. President Bush called him a good man and dedicated public servant who served his constituents with distinction.
