Chamber of Commerce Will Help Hold New Teacher Reception at Government House

Aug. 16, 2007 – The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce informs their membership that the Department of Education will be hosting a reception to welcome 60 – 75 new teachers to our public schools this fall, many from stateside and some from as far away as the Philippines. The reception for the new teachers is scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at Government House.
As in past years, the Chamber invites member businesses to give the new teachers a warm Crucian welcome by donating items for door prizes and gift bags that will be given to them at the reception. If you would like to donate such items, please drop them off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., weekdays, by Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Chamber of Commerce offices, 3009 Orange Grove. All Chamber members are invited to attend the reception.
Contact the Chamber office with any questions or concerns.
