Brief: Red Hook Ferry Parking Closed Until Further Notice

June 26, 2007 — Effective Wednesday, the parking lot at the Red Hook Marine Terminal will close until further notice because of ongoing construction, according to a news release from the V.I. Port Authority.
"The entrance to the parking lot will be chained, and access will be granted only to taxi vehicles and vehicles picking up or dropping off passengers," the release said. "Vehicles parked in violation of these restrictions will be towed at the owner’s expense."
The authority suggests that drivers park at its free temporary lot west of the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School and across from the entrance to the National Park Service facility.
"The Port Authority regrets any inconvenience that these changes will cause and asks for the public’s continued patience as we complete the construction of the Red Hook Marine Terminal," the release said.
