Two V.I. Agencies Receive National Endowment Funds

April 21, 2007 – The National Endowment for the Arts has distributed grants to two agencies in the Virgin Islands, according to a press release from the Office of Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen.
The first is for Tillett Foundation Inc. in the amount of $10,000 for support of the Concerts in the Gardens series and Arts Alive. Classical, jazz, blues and gospel music presentations and outreach activities will be offered to adults and students.
The second recipient of funding is the V.I. Council on the Arts, which will receive $265,000 as a partnership grant.
