Submissions Wanted for V.I. Carnival 2007 Theme

Aug. 1, 2006 – The next Virgin Islands Carnival fête will celebrate 55 Years of Mas for Carnival 2007. The V.I. Carnival Committee is now accepting ideas for the official theme. An entry should be a short, catchy, meaningful phrase or sentence that clearly defines the spirit and excitement of the V.I.'s largest cultural event.
There are four ways to submit entries: (1) hand deliver entries to the Carnival Committee office, located across from the Dept. of Finance on lower Main Street (2) mail entries to P.O. Box 307947, St. Thomas, V.I. 00803 (3) fax entries to 777-9199 or (4) e-mail entries to jouvert@viaccess.net. The deadline for submissions is Sept. 30.
The winner will receive a Carnival 2007 season pass to all events, his/her theme will be used for all carnival events, and the theme will be posted with the winner's name in the carnival booklet.
