'Mathletes' to Compete in District Mathcounts Program

'Mathletes' to Compete in District Mathcounts Program
Junior high and middle school student "mathletes" from St. Thomas and St. John schools will compete in the chapter competition of the national Mathcounts program. The event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 8:30 a.m., at the Palms Court Harborview Hotel.
There will be 58 students from district public and private schools competing
individually and as teams in written and fast-paced oral matches covering algebra, probability, statistics and geometry. The four mathletes with the highest scores will advance to the State Mathcounts finals.
