Cultural Bazaar To Greet Cruise Ship in Frederiksted

Jan. 30, 2006 — A cruise ship is scheduled to arrive on St. Croix Wednesday, and the Department of Tourism's "Cruzan Cultural Bazaar" kicks in again — as do parking restrictions.
Herminio Velazquez, deputy chief of police, in a recent press release, announced the following parking restrictions and street closings in Frederiksted Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On these dates, there will be no parking or traffic allowed on King Street between the intersections of Market Street to Customs House Street. This is being done to accommodate the vendors and pedestrians during this event.
Violators will be ticketed and/or towed away at the vehicle owner's expense. Velazquez and the police department, according to the press release, regret any inconvenience this might cause the public.
