Oct. 28, 2005 – United Way of St. Croix, Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Pavia Information Center will host a free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) early detection clinic for men 40 years and older. It will be held on the first floor of the hospital on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
PSA is a substance found in the prostate gland, and if it is abnormally high, it can indicate prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer in American men. Early detection saves lives.
