April 26, 2005 –The V.I. Tennis Association announced that the fourth tournament in the VITA/Innovative Junior Tennis Circuit is being held at and conducted by the Canegata Public Tennis Courts, Christiansted, St. Croix from May 6 through May 8.
Innovative Communications Corp. is sponsoring the tournament for both boys and girls in four categories: 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under, and 18 and under. It is the fourth of five tournaments that will be used for ranking and selecting junior players for the summer International Tennis Federation circuit in Aruba, Curacao, and the Dominican Republic. It will also rank and select the 14 and Under ITF Eastern Caribbean Championships in September. The circuit will end with a championship in May cosponsored by Innovative and Antillean Engineers of St. Croix.
To be eligible for the selection for the summer ITF circuit, junior players must play in at least two tournaments: one on St. Thomas and one in St. Croix, as well as, the Junior Championships in May.
