Dec. 17, 2004 – Road work will continue through the weekend on the John Brewers Beach Highway to repair a water main leak, Public Works Commissioner Wayne D, Callwood announced in a release Friday.
The work is to repair a leak on the 6-inch main water line which feeds the southwest campus of the University of the Virgin Islands.
Callwood is asking motorists to look out for detours and follow signs as directed.
In addition, Seventh-Day Adventist Street will be closed to traffic on Monday, Dec. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, for the funeral services of Velma Elliot, who was an employee of the V.I. Port Authority. Motorists are asked to take alternate routes, Callwood said.
