Electrical Outage Planned For Downtown Christiansted

Nov. 5, 2004 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority will replace a rotten pole in downtown Christiansted on Saturday.
The outage will affect only a small area of Feeder #1 on Company Street from midnight to 8 a.m., according to a WAPA release.
While construction is underway, a section of King Cross Street next to the Lt. Governor's Office and a section of Company Street will be closed to vehicular traffic.
The outage will affect area businesses such as Harvey's Restaurant, Truffles, Abdallah's, Quinn House Galleries, Berwick's, Divi Divi Fabrics, Sundial Bargain Center, Urban Threadz and Ebben.
WAPA appreciates the public's cooperation and patience while the work is being done, the release said.
