Services Set for Aug. 12 for Joshua Smith, 83

Aug. 9, 2004 – Viewing and Services will be Thursday for Joshua Smith, 83, who died on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at his St. Thomas home.
Smith is survived by his wife, Keturah; a son, Cedric; five daughters, Sheila Christopher, Avis Collins, Elaine Lynch, Carol Smith and Carea Smith-Todman; and six stepdaughters, Janice Donovan, Joycelyn Harley, Teresa Steele, Edris Todman, Judith Turnbull and Joyce Walker.
Also surviving are an aunt, Augusta Dawson; a sister, Octavia Smith; a special nephew, Neil King; a special grandson, Dale Hodge; five stepsons, Clement Donovan, Clifton Donovan, Ralph Donovan, Alphonse Steele and Antonio Steele; four sisters-in-law, Luisa Duzante, Matilda Harvey, Anesta Industrious and Doris Smith; a brother-in-law, Godwin Stevens; 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Christchurch Methodist in downtown Charlotte Amalie. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Western Cemetery No. 3.
