OKAY KIDS, TAKE OUT YOUR CRAYONS

April 4, 2003 – Kids across the territory are urged to take out their crayons and compete in the Children are the Future Drawing Contest. Sponsored by the Department of Human Services' Office of Child Care, Regulatory and Volunteer Services and the Healthy Childcare Virgin Islands Project, the contest has a theme of "Sharing and Having Fun at my Preschool."
Children aged 2 to 5 and enrolled in a childcare facility should make their drawings on 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper. Childcare facilities will submit the drawings best representing the "Sharing and Having Fun at my Preschool" theme, and 10 winners will ultimately be selected from those submissions.
Prizes include gift certificates for the children and art supplies for the preschool. Winning drawings also will appear in the Department of Human Services' New Rules and Regulations Manual for childcare facilities.
