Dec. 13, 2002 – There's not much time to plan for this one, but the good news is the 10th annual Rotary Club East "Breakfast with Santa" on Saturday goes until noon.
The event, an annual fun and fund raiser that has come to be an East End tradition on St. Thomas, takes place from 8 a.m. until then in the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School cafeteria.
For $5 apiece, adults and children alike can enjoy a fresh-cooked breakfast of pancakes, sausage and beverage. Plus, the deal includes an opportunity for kids to tell Santa their heart's desire and get a small gift in return.
Attendees can have their photographs taken with Santa professionally for $5 more.
In addition, a Christmas bazaar will be set up by the cafeteria entrance, where artists and artisans will be offering their wares as just the thing for holiday giving or getting.
Rotary East has long had a special relationship with Eudora Kean High School, supporting it with college scholarships and other contributions. Proceeds from the annual holiday breakfast go to support those efforts.
