RECALLED KELLOGG'S POP TARTS FOUND ON ST. CROIX

Dec. 13, 2002 – According to a release from the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, the department's investigators have found 107 boxes of recalled Kellogg's Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts on St. Croix. So far, no recalled Pop Tarts have been found on St. Thomas or St. John.
Kellogg USA recalled the Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts in 8-count, 14-ounce packages on Dec. 6 because they contain undeclared eggs. People with allergies or sensitivities to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The UPC code for the recalled Pop Tarts is 38000 31110 and a carton code of K3111D is printed on top of the package.
The recalled items were found and confiscated from Tropic Isle Distributors, Food Town, Plaza Extra and Schooner Bay Market.
