INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS IN CONCERT AT WHIM

Barbara Gonzalez-Palmer and Frederick Urrey will appear in concert at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 5 and 6 at the Whim Museum.
Gonzalez-Palmer, an international performing artist, has enjoyed a career that includes performances with the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Symphony, American Brass Quintet, New York Philharmonic, New York City Opera, and Stuggert Opera.
She currently holds the office of Regional Governor in the National Opera Association and is director of the Collaborative Piano Program at Rutgers University.
Tenor Frederick Urrey is an internationally recognized artist who has appeared in oratorio, opera, recital, and as a performer of chamber music.
He is known for his wide range of styles from diverse musical periods, according to a recent release. Urrey is an active performer of the works of J.S. Bach and has performed worldwide.
Educated at the Peabody Conservatory of Music and the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna, Austria, he is currently a member of the voice faculty at the Mason Gross School of the Arts of Rutgers University.
Tickets are $25 or $22 for St.Croix Landmark Society members.
There is an east end shuttle available Friday and Saturday night, leaving Schooner Bay Marketplace at 7 p.m. The round trip fare is $10 per person.
