PLANNING TO HEAR SUBPOENAED DPW TESTIMONY

The Senate Committee on Planning and Environmental Protection will hear subpoenaed testimony from Department of Public Works officials on the Nadir Gut when it reconvenes at 6 p.m. Wednesday on St. Thomas.
Earlier in the day, the committee will consider Coastal Zone Management permits for construction projects at American Yacht Harbor and La Vida Marine Center at a 10 a.m. hearing.
Committee Chairman Adlah "Foncie" Donastorg subpoenaed the officials and documents after DPW failed to show up at a hearing last month on flood control, gut maintenance and the Nadir "bridge to nowhere."
The public is encouraged to attend. For more information, call Donastorg's office at 693-3665.
